Cancellations:
We would ask that you kindly allow a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your dog’s grooming appointment. While we understand that plans can change please be aware that if you miss an appointment with no prior warning a fee will be incurred for future appointments.
Late Arrival Policy:
We would ask that you kindly arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. This ensures the smooth running of our grooming services.
If you are more than 15 minutes late arriving for your dog’s appointment, we may not have time to complete the groom. This will count as a missed appointment and full payment for the appointment will be required. Please contact us if you are running late.
Pricing:
Our prices are subject to change and are based on the size, breed, condition and length of time between grooms.
Additional charges may apply for heavily matted, heavily soiled and overgrown coats. Considerable time and care is required for coats in this condition.
You will be informed of the final amount of the groom when your dog comes to the salon and is assessed.
Fleas:
We do not accept dogs with fleas as this can cause cross-contamination with other dogs.
If you discover that your dog has fleas please notify the salon in order to reschedule your appointment if you have one coming up.
We reserve the right to refuse to groom a dog with fleas until they have been successfully treated.
If fleas are found during the groom, we will treat your dog with a specially medicated flea shampoo to kill any fleas on the body. It is important, however, to treat your home, car, bedding etc., and take the advice of your vet on flea prevention for your dog.
Please note €10 is added on where fleas are found on your dog. This is to cover the necessary treatment of your dog and the fumigation of the salon as parasites are highly contagious to other dogs in our care.
Dog Behaviour Policy:
For Health and Safety reasons we reserve the right to refuse to groom an aggressive dog.
Furfect Dog Grooming practices 'force free' grooming, however, the grooming experience can be very stressful for some dogs. This can sometimes cause a dog to become fearful, stressed and aggressive. If your dog’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves and/or the groomer, the groom will be stopped and you will be asked to collect your dog. We will discuss potential options to help your dog overcome their fear of the grooming process.
Nail Trimming:
Nail trimming and filing can only be done where dog permits. Some dogs can become aggressive or extremely stressed during clipping of nails, in this case we would recommend a visit to your vet for this procedure to be carried out.
Accidents:
Although we will take the utmost care of your dog whilst in our charge, accidents can happen. Dogs are liable to make sudden movements and we cannot be held responsible should this happen. You will be given a full explanation of any incident when you collect your dog, including advice of any further action if needed.
If your dog is suffering from any medical conditions that may affect the grooming process, please notify us prior to your appointment as the appointment may need to be rescheduled. If your dog attends and is experiencing discomfort from a medical condition, we reserve the right to refuse the groom.
By confirming a booking with Furfect Dog Grooming you agree to our terms and conditions.
If you need clarification on any of our policies, please do not hesitate to contact us.
