Welcome to Furfect Dog Grooming! We are a professional, fully insured, luxury dog grooming service located in the Co. Meath/Co. Kildare area for small to medium dogs.
My name is Siobhán and I strongly believe in a positive and relaxed grooming experience for every dog that walks through my salon. I have always had a passion for dogs and look forward to bringing that in to my grooming with your precious furball.
I am a qualified dog groomer and received my iPET Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management. I have gained qualifications in Animal Welfare & Behaviour, Dog Care and I am a certified Canine First Responder. I continue to educate myself by attending seminars and training courses so I can provide the best possible service to you and your dog. l am also a member of the IPDGA - Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association.

PUPPY GROOMS
The Importance of Puppy Grooms
Your puppy’s first groom is all about getting them comfortable with the sights and sounds of a grooming salon and creating a positive experience for future grooms. Ideally you should bring your puppy for its first groom from 12 weeks onwards and 2 weeks after their second set of vaccinations. I will work slowly and gently with your pup to familiarise them with the various equipment and sounds. This builds a bond and trust with their groomer so dog grooming becomes an enjoyable experience.
A puppy groom includes:
- Health check
- Nail trim and file
- Gentle ear clean
- Mild puppy shampoo and conditioner
- Calming blueberry facial
- Warm blow dry
- Gentle brush out(for long/curly coated puppies)
- Sanitary & paw trim
- Face trim if needed
- Nourishing nose and paw balm
- Natural fragrance spray (optional)
- Lots of cuddles and praise!
Please note that puppy grooms apply to dogs up to 5 months old.
HAND STRIPPING
Hand stripping is the removal of dead hairs from the coat by hand instead of clipping to keep the coat tidy and healthy. It involves plucking the outer coat by hand and/or specialised tools to maintain correct coat texture and colour. Hand stripping can only be done where the dog has a suitable coat and temperament. As hand stripping takes considerably longer than using clippers or scissors additional costs apply. A full groom is included in the cost of this service.
